WHAT IS RE-BLING YOUR RING?
The reason for the name is a click away.
One day I was sitting in our main store and I get a phone call:
Person on the phone: “Is this Orlando?”
Me: “Yes, who’s this?”
Person on the phone: “We heard your store has quite the reputation, and would like to talk to you about doing a reality tv show”
Me: “Who is this?”
Person on the phone identifies himself as a media person for a known tv network.
Me: “I don’t have time for pranks!”
Person on the phone: “This is very real, and we’d like to meet with you”
Me: “Huh? Really?”
Apparently, news had spread about our little operation and to our incredible surprise, we were approached to do a show. We felt absolutely blessed for the opportunity and blessed that people had been spreading the news about our store and that it reached some folks who thought the whole thing would make an entertaining story.
We started talks and going over the details, and the name Re-Bling Your Ring was floated as a possibility. It’s one of the things we do the most, we add more impact to your existing pieces and basically create something improved. Other names were thrown around, but this one had a certain ‘ring’ to it! <Dad Joke>
The pandemic had an impact on the production of the show and the idea was shelved. We will certainly keep you posted if it takes wings again!
